4ward Planning Inc., a firm specializing in site-specific economic and real estate analysis for sustainable land use outcomes, has named Katalinas Communications its publicist.
Since its inception in 2008, 4ward Planning Inc. has guided numerous state, county and local government agencies, as well as private developers and non-profit entities with understanding their land-use choices and the impacts such choices have on social, environmental, fiscal and economic systems. 4ward Planning’s clients span a number of states in the northeast, Midwest and south. Particular areas of expertise include transit oriented development (TOD) studies, development advisory services, market studies in support of comprehensive master plans and economic and fiscal impact analyses associated with development.
4ward Planning Principal Todd Poole was hired in 2015 by Bensalem Township in Bucks County, Pa., to create a transit-oriented development study in conjunction with redevelopment plans for 675 acres of riverfront property. Todd’s analysis determined that high-end apartments adjacent to the SEPTA train stations were integral to the project’s success. Katalinas Communications serves as the township’s publicist for the project, writing and distributing press releases and photos pertaining to community meetings and a press conference announcing the project to the general public. Katalinas Communications, a greater Philadelphia-based public relations and marketing firm, also consulted with township officials and professionals leading up to and including the Bensalem Township Council’s final adoption of eight ordinances governing the plan.
In addition to Katalinas Communication’s work with Bensalem Township, Theresa Katalinas has provided a variety of public relations services to the Falls Township Board of Supervisors since February 2015. Since 2014, her company has created a quarterly newsletter and handled public relations for the Conshohocken Borough Authority in Montgomery County, Pa.
Prior to founding Katalinas Communications in 2014, Theresa had worked as a municipal reporter for more than a decade. Her background in reporting and her extensive coverage of planning commission and local government meetings provides her with a better understanding of land development and the comprehensive land planning process in general.
